Cheque Payments

Cheque Payments is a payment gateway that doesn’t require payment to be made online. Orders using Check Payments are set On Hold until payment clears outside of SmartSeller Online Store.

You, as the store owner, should confirm that cheques have cleared before processing orders in SmartSeller. It’s important to verify that you are paid before shipping an order and marking it Complete.

 

1. Activate Cheque Payments

1.1 By default, cheque payment is already activated in SmartSeller Online Store. All you need to do is enter your bank information and enable the feature.

1.2. On dashboard, go to Online Store > Settings > Payments > Enable Cheque Payments.

 

2. Cheque Payments Settings

2.1. On Payment Gateways setting page, click “Manage” on Cheque Payments.

2.2. Configure your settings:

  • Enable/Disable – Enable to use. Disable to turn off.
  • Title – Choose the title shown to customers during checkout.
  • Description –Add info shown to customers if they choose Cheque Payment.
  • Instructions – Explain how to pay by Cheque.

2.3. Save changes.
